Pantothenic acid plays a role in proper utilization of vitamins. Sometimes referred to as the "anti-stress" vitamin, pantothenic acid (from the Greek word "pantos", meaning universal) is required by all cells in the body for proper functioning. A fundamental component of the B-vitamin team, pantothenic acid helps the body properly utilize two other B vitamins: PABA and choline. Plus, it is key to the production of the adrenal hormones and helps convert fats, carbohydrates and proteins into energy.
